Preventative treatments not currently used

Discuss preventative treatments with your vet.  As well as protecting individual sheep from blowfly strike, use of a suitable preventative treatment early in the season will greatly reduce the risk of a high fly population later in the season as well.  The most appropriate product should be chosen based on labour resources, age of your lambs during the risk period, withdrawal periods and anticipated slaughter dates.  Ensure the correct dose is used and the product is applied to the recommended area with the correct nozzle.
